Getting #SaferBeauty Into the Hands of Everyone with #BCforTarget

Beautycounter-Target Partnership

Three years ago, Beautycounter Founder, Gregg Renfrew, developed a personal care product company with a mission for change and the goal of getting safer personal care products into the hands of everyone.

"As I applied sunscreen, lotion, and any number of beauty products on myself and my kids, I never thought for a second they might not be safe: After all, I thought, we live in a country that regulates everything, says Renfrew on her website. "So imagine my surprise when I learned that when it comes to the personal care industry, that’s simply not the case. Companies are allowed to use harmful ingredients and make their own judgments about safety."

In three years, Beautycounter has made a lot of progress with its mission. It has one of the best safety ranked sunscreens on the market today plus a safe and effective mascara that took three years to develop.  With 25,000 consultants working to educate the consumer about health risks with current personal care products on the market, Beautycounter's strategy to put the truth back in beauty is succeeding.

Beginning September 12, 2016 Beautycounter's audience is about to get even bigger. Target is introducing the brand to 65 million new friends in a limited partnership so safer personal care products can get into the hands of everyone.  Beautycounter has taken some of its most popular items sold directly through consultants, shrunk them down to a smaller, more affordable size and designed a few new items exclusively for the Target customer.  Items will range in price from $12 to $39.

Safer Beauty into the Hands of Everyone with Beautycounter and Target

The Beautycounter-Target partnership will be in 1500 stores by September 14 and will be on display while supplies last until November 5. Past Target partnership with other high-end designers such as Lilly Pulitzer sold out quickly.

A Special Beautycounter line will be at 1500 stores of Target at the price point of $12 to $39. September 14 will be when customers find the entire Target/Beautycounter line.

2017 Update: The Beautycounter/Target Collaboration was a success and you may shop for Beautycounter online.
