Fashion Friday Feature: Fourth of July Festivities

Personally, I'm not one to buy themed or holiday clothing.  I prefer to spend my money on pieces that can be worn all season.

This patriotic Fourth of July inspired outfit is comprised of pieces that can be worn all season long | www.livingyoungandhealthy.com

But that doesn't mean I don't like to look festive when holidays come around.  Instead, I take pieces that are versatile and put them together to make a "holiday look," like the one featured this week in our Fashion Friday Feature.

This patriotic outfit inspired by the Fourth of July can take you to any casual party, outdoors or in, as well as to watching fireworks or just hanging out with friends in the backyard.

Here I've coordinated some pieces that you may already have in your closet to make a festive Fourth of July inspired outfit.  The red and white tank, along with the cutoff shorts, can be worn to any event, but adding the pops of blue with accessories makes it a patriotic ensemble perfect for the day.

This (Stripe Asymmetrical Peplum) red and white tank is cute with its asymmetrical hem and stripes.  It pairs perfectly with white cutoffs or would look equally nice with white skinny jeans.  Bring in pops of blue with ruffled blue wedges and a simple classic handbag.

Add blue jewelry in the form of a Lilly Pulitzer pendant necklace and hoop earrings by Anthropologie, and all you need is a yummy dish to share with your friends!
